Reading over Mikes Gualtieri’s blog post is like reading a troll in a 4chan group. He goes on to say that Linux is dead and really truly thinks that Linux is an Operating System. With him saying that Linux is dead is ridiculous, I do not think he understands that Android run’s on a Linux Kernel or that most of today’s routers, web servers, TV’s, Gaming Systems run on some variety of Linux. Canonical Announced they have 12 Million users which is huge, Do you remember when Facebook hit a Million users and from there we know the drill. Ubuntu keeps getting better and better and its the supporting applications that are making it possible, such as the GNOME project, KDE, Google to name a few. Looking at this Chart from Wikipedia, Linux is still on the bottom share but I like to keep it that way, we are the elite!
I think the MacOS X numbers are exaggerated and that Linux is Under exaggerated but then again this is from 2010.
