Recently I have been reading some of my favorite Ubuntu Tech Blogs and I noticed that the Unity Celebration has calmed down and there is a lot about GNOME-SHELL.
So after looking at a list of articles on OMGUbuntu I saw a total of 2 articles referencing Unity and many more articles referencing GNOME-SHELL. I thought I might be losing it so I decide to check out WebUpd8. and it was roughly a tie between the two mighty desktop managers.
Is this a sign that Unity’s popularity is wearing off and GNOME-SHELL is coming back? I am not sure. The only thing I am sure about is that I really like GNOME-SHELL, the workflow works quite well for me, better than Unity’s workflow.

GNOME-SHELL Application Screen:

They are very similar but I prefer the GNOME-SHELL Interface.
What is your opinion?
yeah i too prefer the GNOME-shell. It’s slick, simple and wonderful. I love the way they have designed the dock and the entire system to be unobtrusive
A totally rocking feature from Gnome
